It’s getting to be crunch time for holiday shopping. While it might be tempting to Amazon binge-shop for those final presents, we’re here to help you find something more unique that also supports the local economy. Here’s a list of Philly markets and events where you can find the perfect gift from local artists, makers, and small businesses.

Boutiques, galleries, and vintage shops in Old City stay open late Wednesday evening, with many offering special sales. Be sure to make a stop at Philadelphia Independents, a gift boutique that stocks cards, ornaments, candles and more made-in-Philly products.

🪧 Wednesday, Dec. 13, 5–8 p.m. in Old City

You could combine a visit here with the Old City Shopping Stroll, since the two are happening concurrently. Local vendors line the street outside historic Christ Church.

🪧 Wednesday, Dec. 13, 3–7 p.m. in Old City

Thirty local artists and makers set up shop in the Independence Visitor Center, selling hand-dyed knits, pottery, silver jewelry, and more.

🪧 Saturday, Dec. 16 and Sunday, Dec. 17, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. in Center City East

Shop for handmade holiday gifts in the Bok Building from craft makers with studios in the historic repurposed South Philly vocational school.

🪧 Saturday, Dec. 16, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. in South Philly

This market features woman-led small businesses, including artisanal food producers, jewelry makers, a children’s clothing boutique, and more.

🪧 Saturday, Dec. 16, 12–4 p.m. in Society Hill

The Northwest Philly neighborhood’s Lovett Park hosts a local makers’ market with food and drink, live music, and a visit from Black Santa.

🪧 Saturday, Dec. 16, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. in Mt. Airy

Located catty-corner from Christmas Village in Dilworth Park, this market’s central location and daily operation make it the flagship holiday bazaar for locally-made crafts.

🪧 Open daily though Jan. 1 at various times in Center City
