A home-cooked meal can hit the spot, but if you’re cooking for a large party then putting dinner together can be stressful. Or maybe you want to switch up the menu but you’re not sure where to start? This Thanksgiving, don’t bother putting the turkey in the oven. Why not enjoy a dish or a full meal from one of Philly’s restaurants?

Your teeth may be chattering at the thought of eating ice cream during this time of year, but luckily Irv’s has another sweet treat for you. Choose a pumpkin, maple pecan, apple crisp, or ice cream pie to add to your table and have it ready for pickup on Nov. 26.

If you haven’t checked out Ellen Yin’s latest addition to our restaurant scene, now’s your chance. The Bread Room’s "Everything But The Bird” special includes menu highlights such as lemon dill Parker House rolls, turkey confit stuffing, and roasted brussel sprouts with pecan and apple. Each package is $50 and packaged individually, but you can request family-style. If you need baked goods for your table, you can preorder all breads, miso caramel apple pie, dirty chai chocolate pie, or Basque pumpkin cheesecake.

You don’t have to wait in line at the next farmer’s market pop-up for a chance to get these desserts. This Levantine-inspired bakery will be coordinating pickups at Di Bruno Bros. and the Headhouse Farmers’ Market on Nov. 26. Treats include pistachio Basque cheesecake, honey thyme pecan macadamia tart, and slow-roasted Japanese sweet potato and orange blossom tart. Order here. And if you want even more from Manna Bakery, they’ll be at a Friendsgiving at Kalaya.

Load up on all the carbs this Thanksgiving. Party Girl Bake Club’s Thanksgiving special covers eight people. You can pick between a 6-inch double-layer pumpkin cookies ‘n cream cake, a bread-and-butter basket, or a party box with pumpkin crack pie, brownies, and s’mores mini-tier cake truffle. And if you really have a sweet tooth, you can order it all for $165.

You can always rely on the hotels to be open on Thanksgiving Day. Located at the Hilton Penn’s Landing, Keating’s Rope & Anchor has a Thanksgiving Day buffet to fill you up. Menu highlights include roasted turkey with rosemary and garlic crust, roasted salmon with lemon, caper, and fennel, and a warm fruit cobbler. The meal is $42 for adults.

Twisted Tail has you covered all day long on Thanksgiving. You can order to enjoy at home, or stop by anytime between noon and 10 p.m. for a sit-down meal. The menu is $59 per person and covers an entree, family-style sides, and family-style pie. If you’re around at 5 p.m., enjoy live music covering hits from the 60s and 70s.

Watching the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade is a tradition in this city, but this year, turn off the TV. Enjoy a Thanksgiving brunch right on the Parkway at Assembly and watch the floats, balloons, and performances pass by. You can select a standing-room ticket for $175 or communal-style seating for $205. Your ticket gets you access to a four-hour brunch buffer and open bar.

If you want to celebrate the holiday downtown but not get caught in the middle of the parade route, head over to Parc in Rittenhouse. Thanksgiving dinner is available starting at noon for $72 per person with dinner including a roasted turkey, traditional stuffing, and candied yams.

City Cruises Philadelphia

If you really want to switch things up this year, why not have your holiday dinner on a boat? City Cruises is hosting two cruises on Thanksgiving, one during the day and another in the early evening. Admire the scenery on the water while feasting on a Thanksgiving buffet.
