Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and Philadelphians are preparing to feast — and empty their wallets in the process. Due to loss from disease, wholesale turkey prices are expected to be 40% higher this year, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation.

So local organizations are chipping in with turkey giveaways and Thanksgiving dinners so no one goes hungry this holiday season.
