Are you ready to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 22? Here’s a few ways you can get your thumbs green and send some major love to Mother Earth this week and weekend.

🌳Join the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society from April 20-24 in planting more than 1,400 trees. No experience is necessary for volunteers. Register online to find a planting event near you. Make sure to wear closed-toe shoes, and bring hand sanitizer, gloves, a water bottle, and a shovel if possible.

🚮Get active with Terril Haigler, aka ‘Ya Fav Trashman,’ at his second annual 5k Trash Walk in Kensington. The cleanup begins at 11 a.m on Sunday, April 23 and lasts about three hours. Supplies and refreshments will be provided. Register online for $10.

🌞Participate in a cleanup, rock decorating, and workshops with local vendors and community groups at the Fishtown Rec Center at 10 a.m. on Sat, April 22. Learn from three Philly installers about solar energy.
