Northern Liberties, the neighborhood that connects Fishtown to Old City, is known for having an artsy, hippie-ish, and independent vibe. The former manufacturing district began to flourish in the ‘90s and is now home to some of the best restaurants, bars, and breweries. NoLibs, as it's often called, just has that unspoken “cool factor.”Here are some spots you just can’t miss:

🏠 Edgar Allan Poe House Fans of the iconic author will fall in love with this national historic site. Guests can explore Poe’s original home, as well as exhibits exploring his work, and how he viewed Philadelphia. Guests can take a self-guided tour or be led by knowledgeable rangers.

Silk City Diner, Lounge & Garden was built in 1952 by the Paterson Dining Company. At the time, Paterson had a thriving silk manufacturing industry. Two years later, the spot became a diner and cocktail lounge that served Philadelphians brunch, dinner, and nightlife. The menu includes empanadas, shrimp burgers, homemade apple pies, and plenty of vegan options.

Creep Records, located in The Piazza, is a vinyl lover's heaven. Since its debut over a decade ago, it has become one of the most popular music spots in the city. It specializes mostly in rock, indie, and alternative artists, along with a selection of audio equipment. Creep Records also books local Philly talent for in-store and outdoor performances.
