How To Build the Best Philly Cheeseboard for the Holidays
Step aside Wisconsin, the Keystone state is coming for your cheese crown! Pennsylvania is home to 5,000 dairy farms, and the Philly area is chock full of artisan cheese shops and creameries. Today, we’re revisiting a conversation host Trenae Nuri had with Tenaya Darlington — also known as Madame Fromage — about what makes Philly a dairy destination, and how to create the ultimate local cheeseboard. Darlington is the cheese curator at Tria, as well as the author of “Di Bruno Bros. House of Cheese” and “Madame Fromage’s Adventures in Cheese.”
Here’s a list of the local cheese shops/markets mentioned in this episode:
- Birchrun Hills Farm
- Perrystead Dairy
- Merion Park Cheese Co.
- Clark Park Farmers Market
- Headhouse Farmers Market
- Valley Milkhouse
- Conebella Farm
- Di Bruno Bros.
- Downtown Cheese
- Weavers Way Co-Op
- Tria
- Talula’s Garden
- Third Wheel Cheese Co.
