Happy Fall, Philly! Summer is officially over, so now it’s time to embrace everything we associate with autumn: pumpkin-themed drinks, cozy sweaters, and yellowing leaves.

Walking among the orange and yellow hues can actually be therapeutic, so make sure to see the foliage at its peak in Pennsylvania.

The city’s Department of Public Health is warning of a possible measles exposure at Philadelphia International Airport. This new case is the second such announcement in a week, following reports of a separate measles exposure at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Here’s what we know so far:

  • Did You Fly Out of PHL Recently? Travelers who were at Philadelphia International Airport between 7:25 p.m. on Sept. 13 and 12:05 a.m. on Sept. 14 may have been exposed to measles. The exposure took place in terminals B, F, and in areas connecting to terminals C, D, and E.
  • Infants Potentially Exposed. Just last week, CHOP reported a separate possible measles exposure in the hospital’s atrium, cafeteria, and neonatal intensive care unit on Sept. 11.
  • What’s Philly’s Status? As of now, no Philadelphia residents have reported measles cases, but several surrounding counties have. Pennsylvania has nearly 800 confirmed cases.
  • Tensions Between State and Feds Rise. The feud between Gov. Josh Shapiro and U.S. Health Sec. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is reaching a boiling point as the two officials attacked each other online over the response to the outbreak. Pennsylvania’s measles death count has now risen to four, but the Centers for Disease Control have yet to include the deaths on the national measles dashboard.
  • If You've Been Exposed: Check your vaccination status, take precautions if you’re not immune, and watch for early symptoms, including fever, runny nose, a cough, and red, watery eyes, followed by a rash.
  • Protect Yourself. You can receive a free measles vaccine at the city’s Health Centers. If you’re unsure of your vaccination status, here’s how to access your immunization records.
