🌈 It’s finally Friday! Rounding out Pride month, artist Santiago Galeas reveals the newest mural in the Gayborhood. You can now check out the unveiling of “In Pride, In Power, In Memory,” a homage to five Philadelphians who pushed queer rights forward. Head over to Voyeur Nightclub to see Gloria Casarez, Michael S. Hinson, Jr., Tyrone Smith, Nizah Morris, and Dawn Munro depicted on the façade.

While you’re there grab a drink or two and hang out at the three-floor, dance-centric club until 4 a.m.! 🪩

PECO Workers Threaten Walk-Off

The utility's union announced that members would cease working if a contract agreement wasn't reached by July 4. The contract expired April 1; workers say they are paid 30% less than those at comparable utility companies. In 145 years of PECO, this would be the first-ever work stoppage. [KYW Newsradio]

State Attorney General is Wielding New Power Over Krasner

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday, a Republican, now has considerable oversight over Democratic District Attorney Larry Krasner's efforts to have prior convictions overturned. The oversight stems from a new Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling rebuking Krasner for allegedly mishandling such cases. Sunday is intervening in a 1997 murder conviction that was recently overturned after intervention by Krasner. [🔒 The Inquirer]

Three Philadelphia residents are claiming the Philadelphia ICE office violated a longstanding policy that prohibits rearresting individuals who are not a danger or flight risk. [WHYY]
